The X55 II is the car most people come in to see. It pairs a turbocharged 1.5 with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox and twin 10.25-inch screens, and starts under five million dollars. A dual clutch, not a CVT
The seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox is what separates the X55 II from the rest of its price bracket. It changes gear the way a much more expensive car does — quickly, and without the elastic feeling a CVT gives under load.
Twin screens across the dash
Two 10.25-inch displays run the instruments and the centre console, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging and keyless entry and start. The 360-degree camera makes a tight yard in Kingston straightforward.
Glass roof, cooled seats
The panoramic sunroof arrives on the Elite and runs most of the length of the cabin. Step up to the Premium and the front seats are both heated and ventilated — the second of which matters far more here than the first.
